Wooden Castle is a coming-of-age drama about an orphaned girl, Julia, who struggles to continue the legacy of her late father’s wooden furniture shop. Burdened and blessed with memories of Ezra, she attempts to find strength in filling in his shoes while Sid, Julia’s older cousin, tries to take over the shop - believing that he is saving her from the responsibilities.

Director Statement:
As much as I wanted to translate the feeling of grief through my own eyes, I was only able to capture a fragment of it. I saw a part of me in Julia: burdened with loss and the constant anxiety from failing. As much as this is only a brief encounter with such intense emotions, I hope that some moments will resonate and empower those who have encountered not only grief, but also those who are struggling to pursue what their heart wants.
